Salisbury police say someone shot at 39 cars with what they believe was a pellet gun or BB gun during the past two weekends.

During the city's weekly public safety briefing, Salisbury Police Maj. Scott Kolb said they received four reports of the windows of unoccupied cars being shot at over the Nov. 25-26 weekend and 35 reports over the Dec. 2-3 weekend.

The incidents have generally occurred in the evening or early in the morning when it's dark out, he said, in the area of North Division Street, Moss Hill Lane, Middle Neck Drive, Priscilla Street, Camden Avenue and Princeton Avenue.

The Salisbury Police Department is collaborating with the Wicomico County Sheriff's Office on the investigation.

Anyone with information about the incidents is urged to contact the Salisbury Police Department at 410-548-3165 or CrimeSolvers at 410-548-1776.
